k la, since u all talk about ur year, i also say la..
my time in Perth has been pretty good actually. i had no problems at all with housemates! HAHA! i think some of u remember how one particular housemate of mine is like right? :p anyway, was staying with an uncle and his family and had one of my cousins sharing room with me. that's why i didnt have any problem laa.

hmm, if u were to ask me what i like about perth, i would say..
1. public toilets there are so clean!!
2. efficient public transportation. lotsa convenience too...
3. the pay. the lowest is about AUD$10 per hour, as compared to RM2 or RM3 in Malaysia? because of that, i can save to buy camera and other gadgets also la.

As for my course.. i've pretty much have about the same complains as oble. almost everything that i've learnt in astronomy is more or less down the drain oredi lar. same goes to a few other units. hah.


niways, i'm in kk now. surprisingly, i found myself not used to the humidity in msia. need to take about 2 showers per day... but everything else is good. loving the food and loving the company. :) come visit kk! i bring u around to eat. hehehe..

Semester's over! Or should i say, the year is over! (?)

And it has been a year that i haven't seen you guys too. Sadly I won't be seeing any of you until late January next year. (Actually, my first week in Malaysia is kind of booked up by my coursemates and my high school friends.. @@)

So, I'll be in Malaysia from January 19th to February 6th. Yes it's only 3 weeks and I damn well regret it now for not making my stay longer. :( At first, I planned to get a job at the end of semester 2 that will last me till January and that explains my return in mid January. But after seeing almost all of my friends going back by early December, I feel so depressed and regretting my initial plan. How I miss Malaysian food, and friends back there. :(

Back to talk about the year.. I would say it has been a nice year, adapting the life here, meeting people, especially quite a fair number of people at least 5 years my senior cuz they're my sister's circle of friends. Coursemates are awesome. We even planned tour to a few places in Malaysia together during January.

I actually haven't got much to complain about the course I think, except for a couple of subjects that I think are quite a waste of time and learned nothing much out of them. The other subjects are, well, okay. And I discovered that I made the right choice for not picking electrical engineering or civil engineering cuz I suck totally at Electrical Systems subject and the Statics Mechanics part of the Mechanics subject. :D

Well well, I guess that's all that I wanna say for this time. Tata

ok..let me do the update... hmm..let me see, uni life is damn hectic. i have loads of compulsory subjects like Latin, Russian, Philosophy, Math, Physic, Histology, Bio and Chemistry. having exams like almost every week but kinda immune already. AND, russian chicks and hunks are really good looking. most of them dress up like supermodels. whereas us foreign students look like hmmm....STUDENTS.

well, now i see the reason why is moscow the most expensive city in the world. let me start from my uni, we have several cafes in our uni and the food is expensive. after spending rm20 still you are hungry =/. the cheapest way to get food here is to go to McD. but still, a McChicken, nuggets, and small sized sprite cost rm20, WITHOUT FRIES. korean restaurant..rm80 per person minimum. and the price is enough for u to eat only a main course and green tea!! not that you can find lobster in it..the main course i mentioned is only some normal tofu stew served with rice. if you add on side orders...habis lah totally. eat only bread for the rest of the week. the chinese restaurant is also the same. if you want to go for fine dining here, make sure you have AT LEAST 2000rubles which is around rm270. remember i said AT LEAST!! i have just been here for only two months. and i have already spent usd2000 for nothing. bought only daily stuff. one word for all...KANASAI!! =(

it snows almost everyday now. and it will continue till end of february. what a long winter... guess i might not be able to stand the weather in malaysia later on. oh ya, speaking of it, I'M GOING BACK TO MALAYSIA DURING WINTER BREAK!!! decided to go to egypt and turkey initially but after that we found out if we don't go back this time, we might have to wait till third year as second year's exam occupies almost 80% of the break, so means during year two i will only have one week break or so. not gonna have the chance to go back so yup....i and my group mates planned to go home together.

i'm still not so sure when's the exact departure date, we are going to book the ticket tomorrow, but will difinitely be at home by 7th of january. hope to leave on 2nd though. and i will leave in 6th of february. so, around one month i will be in malaysia. guys...let's organise a dinner or lunch or anything...!!

Hey It has been a year! Like wtf... time passes too quickly... Ever realized how a year feels shorter as we get older? When we were 5, we thought a day was a long time!!!

*sighs* I'm stuck in Sydney till the 6th of January... I'm freaking jealous of people who have already packed their bags and left. I'm also missing ALL the G3-ians... and FOOD. Eh, when I come home in Jan, we should meet up somehow, someway ok? I'll be home till the 6th of march! So yes, I have HEAPS of time... and I get bored easily so we HAVE to meet up. People from IMU and Monash have no excuses! Jace, Joey, Yi Siang... lol...

Bern, you're coming down to KL too! We take our cameras out go "kaikai"... Everyone else can be our models.

Anyways, back to the main topic here... I miss everyone and I would love to know what everyone has been up to! Plus, it is the end of the year, it would be good for us to reflect on what we've done... Can bitch about your course? Let me know if there are lengcais or lengluis chasing you? lol... can talk about the freaking weather, achievements so far, ermmm and whatever you'd like to talk about.

I'll start first... hehe

My course has been so-so... It is a relatively new course so the lecturers are very disorganized! Apart from the messy structure of subjects, I think its been quite okay. I've learnt quite a lot... Applied Sciences is completely dominated by females btw, so I feel like I'm back in an all girls' school... haha!

Not many STRAIGHT lengcais in Sydney, a lot of lengluis and hot gay men though.

hahah! okla, that's all... My life is super boring without G3... Watch this video... I love the sarcasm!!!

Spring!

wow.. it's almost spring now.. or is it spring already? or not.. i can't tell exactly, but it's definitely much warmer than winter already.
and my biggest spring welcome gift was a bloody flu last thursday morning. was a darn windy and gloomy day and i woke up with a very bad headache, muscle soreness (coupled with muscle aches from heavy gym workout 2 days prior to that), running nose.. wee~~ and i had to go to uni cuz i got quiz to take and assignment to hand in. so yea, great way to finish a week..

finally recovered, at least well enough to start jumping around already ^^

hmm.. The thing i don't like about Aussie internet is.. they have a quota system for download data (some even puts quota for upload, which is even worse. luckily mine doesn't). and mine just exceeded.. so i got shaped down to a very brilliant speed of 56kbps D/L and 500kbps U/L. i know they're weird in a sense they don't slow down upload speed. so yes boys n' girls, i've been on turtle-net for the past week. *cries*

*rewinds a couple more weeks back*

August 31st - It was Merdeka Day, and it was a special one for me. No it wasn't because i did anything patriotic or malaysian. becuz i took part in a charity 12km run :D well.. considering never trained a lot on running (i work more on weight and resistance training in gym than running), i ran about 9km of it in total.. so i think that deserves a pat for me hehe. guess what position i got? :DDDDDD 11k smth.. out of 37k.. not too bad right? RIGHT? (say right! :P)

ok.. that was more like killing boredom.. time for bed i guess.. cuz i've discovered this wonderful thing in this world called "sleeping earlier". it actually helps me stay awake in boring lectures and tutorials more effectively than espresso quadruple shot (no, i don't drink that heavily for coffee :x)
